Welcome to the Illinois LGBTQ Youth Support Study website. The purpose of this study was to better understand the experiences of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, pansexual, intersex, queer, questioning, and/or non-heterosexual (straight) (LGBTQ or gender and sexual minority; GSM) youth. This study asked about youth's community, school, friends, and other experiences. The anonymous survey is now closed. The gift card drawing has taken place and winners have been notified.

The research was conducted by a social work doctoral student with experience working with LGBTQ youth. The research findings will be used to help communities make things better for LGBTQ youth.
